Miss Little had her baby on the 10th of October. He is a boy called Charlie. (Reyana's dad is called Charlie, too.) CONGRATULATIONS MISS LITTLE !!! We want to see a photo of the baby.
We have two teachers this term, Mrs Taylor and Mrs Pitts. They are both pretty and nice. Mrs Taylor took us on a walk out of the school grounds past Xanthe and Storm's house. We behaved very sensibly on the walk.
We will be starting a new inquiry unit this week, but it is a secret... Room 3 are going to guess what the topic is and we will let you know next week.

Miss Little and Blain say "See you later!"
It was a sad day on Friday as Miss Little and Blain had to say goodbye to the wonderful Room 3! Blain is off to a new school - he is quite excited as he gets to wear a uniform, but he will miss his friends at Bradford as well! Miss little is off to have her baby - she got some beautiful pressies from the kids and more importantly lots of cuddles at 3 o'clock!
We thought it would be a good idea to cheer ourselves up by making some yummy face biscuits which we could nibble away at for morning tea. We made some icing, spread it on our biscuits and then made faces using liquorice and pebbles! Yum, yum, yum!
Some faces were scary, monster faces.....
...and some faces were happy smiling faces...
...the most important thing was, they all tasted delicious!
Miss Little would like to say goodbye and goodluck to all the lovely kids in room 3. She has loved getting to know you all this year and will be checking the blog to see what they are up too.
Have a great holiday everyone!

Cool website
Our friend Jane told Miss Little about this cool website.
http://www.millionfutures.org.uk/
It is a website you can go to and write what you wish for the future on a paper plane. The plane goes way up into the sky with a whole lot of other planes people have already wished their wishes on! You can read some of the other paper plane wishes too if you like!
We wished for our futures.... to be happy and proud of who we are!
Goodbye Miss Macdonald!
We are feeling a bit sad this morning. Miss Macdonald had left. She had her last day on Friday. She had three weeks teaching us in Room 3 all by herself.
Miss Little popped in at times to say hello.
We had ice cream and L and P on Friday because it was Kiwiana Day. On Kiwiana day we had sack races and chalk drawing and gum boot throwing and rugby passes! It was so much fun!
We liked it when she took us to the art gallery. We loved learning about New Zealand and learning about kiwi sayings.
We want to say a big THANK YOU to Miss Macdonald for EVERYTHING she did with us in Room 3. We will miss you!

Kiwiana Masterpieces
Last Friday we went on a trip to the Dunedin Art Gallery. (We love going there) We met the art educator - John and he showed us some really cool pieces of art which had 'icons' of New Zealand in them.
Then we went up to the art room and made some of our our beautiful pieces of art. Can you guess what the New Zealand icon is we used?
Give us a buzzzzzzzz if you can guess!

Beautiful Beanies!
Some people knitted some beanies for Bradford School kids. Some of them are stripey, some of them are plain and some of them are spotty too.
Miss Little called us up in groups and we got to choose our beanies.
They are really hot in summer and they will be really hot in spring but in winter they will be cosy and warm on our heads.
We think that our beanies are cute and we are very lucky to have some lovely people knitting us some beanies.

Kiwiana in Room 3
Lucky Room 3 have been learning all about 'Kiwiana' with Miss Macdonald. They are looking at New Zealand icons and what makes them special.
The children have used Kidpix to draw one of the icons and then they wrote down some ideas they had about why those icons are special to New Zealand.
